Our Mom's group is simply a group of moms (not all members of Good Shepherd UMC) that enjoy fellowshipping with other
moms while doing Bible related studies. We meet each Thursday morning from 9:30 - 11:00am in room 320 in the new building.
Babysitting
Our starting time is 9:30am and when you arrive you have the option of leaving your child(ren) in childcare or bringing them
in the meeting with you. Obviously, nursing mothers are fine with us! We have arranged babysitters for the children each week
and request only a $2 minimum donation per child to cover babysitting costs. Over the summer we have a short Bible study and
craft time for the children 3 and older.
Communications
Most of our communication is accomplished through emails. So please provide the group leader with your email if you have not
already done so. That way you will be kept up to date on all group happenings. Also, our schedules and other important information
are kept on our website at http://moms-group.tripod.com. We also keep a group list of phone numbers, addresses and birthdays
that we update regularly. Once you join our group (there is no cost to join) you will be given access to this file on our
secure group site.
Home Businesses
We are a very supportive bunch! If you have a home business or are having a home party, feel free to let us know. We can put
your home business on our website. You can feel free to bring catalogs and place them on the table during meetings.
Activities
From time to time we do activities outside of our Thursday morning time. Activities include: trips to the park, movies, Carowinds,
and other field trip type activities. We also try to have a monthly Mom's Night Out, WITHOUT THE KIDS! Again, check the web
site for planned activities.
We really hope you enjoy getting to know the moms in our group and feel spiritually fed by the studies.
